Attention all CovenSpacers: Help end World Hunger

    Monday, November 5, 2007, 03:16 PM [General]

    Hello, my name is Aria and I am a NerdFighter. For those that do not know what NerdFighers are please look up Brotherhood 2.0!

    We believe in ending World Suck, the following link is both educational and an easy way to help the needy:

    Free rice

    You go through vocab list and match the definitions to the words. For each correct answer 10 grains of rice will be donated through the United Nations to help end world hunger!

    Now that may not seem like a lot but lets think about that for a minute, if I hand this off to just five people and they in turn each hand it off to 5 new people and all of those people donate oh...lets say they get just ten words right a day. Now over a week that equals 21,000 grains of rice. Now keep spreading it. What does that equal? That equals a lot of food for people who have nothing!

    So go to the link and bookmark it. Each day take a few minutes and just pile up 100 grains of rice, that is ten correct answers people, that isn't a hard thing to do. Not only will you be increasing your own vocabulary but you'll also be helping people eat and we're one step closure to ending World Suck!

    Many blessings,

    Wow, long time no post

    Thursday, November 1, 2007, 08:13 PM [General]

    I haven't posted here in forever, I tend to get rather busy and with work picking up lately I try to make use of the time I have away from the computer. I've been working hard at getting my Etsy up and running and have a bunch of Hogwarts House hats up right now. Hoping to add more items to it later:

    Manifested Dreams

    Holidays are right around the corner and I'm hard at work getting everyone's gifts ready. Last year I had just went through a rough situation and didn't really have money for gifts but thankfully my job gives me a decent income. Yay for shopping!

    Samhain came and went without much of a fuss. I felt very bleh and just lazed around the whole night. Sort of anti-climactic but maybe I just needed to not think for a while lol. Hope everyone else's was wonderful!

    Can't think of what else to post so I'll leave it at that. Have a good night everyone :3

    Many blessings,

    Astral Projection potion etc

    Thursday, September 13, 2007, 02:50 PM [General]

    So I'm going through my old files on my computer and stumbled across various things I had written over time. I decided I'd share. Please keep in mind this was when I was first starting out, my wording and emphasis used now is a lot different then back then. I guess that's called growth lol.

    This was written specifically as a BoS blessing for a friend of mine. She was worried about her parents finding it so I did my best to make it so it wouldn't be seen by unwanted eyes. The entire thing was written in Angelic I believe so it couldn't be easily translated.

     "Book blessing"

    I call upon the Lord and Lady fair
    Protect this book and its keeper with care
    Surround the holder with truth and love
    With the energy from below and above

    Strong Guardians of the four directions
    Enter this book and give your protection
    Earth and Fire, Water and Wind
    Protect the holder and her future kin

    By my words I seal this spell
    Keep her safe and keep her well

    Go in now to the book I see
    As I say, so mote it be!

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Next up is an Astral Projection potion. The idea was that it would help align your energies with higher vibrations so it would become easier. It worked better than I had expected.Everything inside of ( _ ) are notes I have added for this post.
    ~*~Astral Projection Lotion Potion~*~
    ~1  tsp crushed mugwort (enhances psychic abilities and astral travel)
    ~1/2 tsp parsley flakes (for purification and protection)
    ~1/4 tsp crushed catnip (for those with high feline energies. Omit or replace with appropriate equivalent for self )
    ~1/2 tsp cinnamon (enhances psychic abilities, increases luck, overall power and protection booster)
    ~1/2 tsp peppermint (enhances psychicabilities and acts as a purifying energy)
    ~1 or 2 pinches crushed or powdered bay/two bay leaves(enhances psychic powers and protection along with strength)
    ~1 pinch powdered thyme (courage, psychic powers, healing)
    ~1 pinch chamomile(offers calming energies)
    ~1/4 tsp lavender/1-2 drops of lavender oil(protection, calm,purification, uplifting herb)
    ~1 pinch powdered  valerian root(purification and high protection energies)
    ~1 or 2 drops Jasmine and or rose oil (promotes prophetic vision)
    (DO NOT use more than indicated thyme, will agitate the skin)
    Now a note on the ingredients. I was still fairly uneducated as to the nature of herbs at the time, mainly the ease at which some crush or powder. As a result the original batch of this was very grainy and had to be washed off afterwards.
    That in mind I believe this would work much better if you adjusted the amounts to use oils or(my personal preference) take all of the ingredients and steep them in about a cup of water on a very low temperature. You don't want to scorch the herbs, just get them warm enough to release the oils in them. Allow the water to evaporate until it is at about a fourth or less of the liquid you started with.
    While you add each herb to the water it is important to make your desire and will known. Specify the purpose of each herb as an individual and as a whole in the potion. Each piece has a bit of it's own will and it is important to respect everything that you use. Take a moment after each ingredient is added and put a little bit of your energy in, enhancing the potency as you go.
     (As a note, I personally prefer to use wooden spoons as opposed to metal and I like to keep my spell work tools separate from cooking. I view spoons and the like as any other tool, it's used as an extension of yourself and shouldn't be misused.)
    Once the liquid has steamed down to an appropriate level(You don't want your lotion to be too watery) set it aside and allow it to cool. Once it is at room temperature you'll want to get roughly a cup(adjust amount as needed. You can decide on your own what you want your lotion to water ratio to be) of your favorite unscented lotion(Organic lotions are best). Mix the liquid into the lotion and stir it, following the same idea as when you were mixing the herbs. Put into an air tight container(Or pump bottle for easy access) and store for future use.
    Adding ground up lavender, chamomile, or other easily powdered herb will enhance it and give it a nice look. Just remember that you don't want it to leave bits all over your skin.
    Use this potion before you attempt astral projection. Apply to entire body or just to your Chakra points(especially third eye), ankles, and wrists. If anyone decides to use this I'd love to hear the results.
     ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

     In all honesty this next one totally took on a purpose of it's own. Originally it was meant to help in invisibility(I had found lore about wine and poppy seeds and made it into something my own) but what it ended up doing was something very different. I suppose this can be called a massive psychic energy booster. Whenever I drank it I could see things much clearer, Aura readings became more accurate and overall I was just a lot more in tune with my own gifts and the worlds around me. I had many interesting conversations with deities while I had this.

    As a disclaimer you should not drink this if you are pregnant or take a lot of medication etc etc. This is alcohol, follow the same rules you would for any other alcoholic drink.

    That in mind, on to the potion. There are not any specific measurements for this. I used a bottle of Wild Vines Blackberry Merlot since I prefer sweet wine and I've always used that for my ritual wine. I'm sure any wine would work with this so pick your favorite.

    Mix the following(these are my aprox measurements:

    1 bottle of Wine
    5 tsp Poppy Seeds(you want a lot of these)
    1 tsp Cinnamon
    Small slice of fresh Ginger (this stuff is potent so watch out. it will alter the flavor a bit)

    Go with whatever amounts feel right to you. The bits are going to float to the bottom and sit there. Make sure to shake it up before each drink. Add each ingredient and as you do you will want to chant the incantation at the end of this. Call on whatever deities you like. I called on Morpheus, Selene, and Hekate. I believe Pan as well, it gave some interesting results. Once everything is mixed let it sit for 15 days. After the 15 days I started fasting as the lore said to do. It says fast for 5 days while drinking some of this each day. I only made it to 3 days so I don't know if that's true or not(But I ought to try!) Drink this as you like, a bit each night and see what happens. I called on varying beings(after a circle was thrown up for protection) and got a lot of insight on varying things. I should also note this was done so that it would coincide with Samhain(Halloween) but it can be done any time. The longer it sits the more potent this will get. I was practically flying my energy was so high.

     The incantation:

    Beyond sight
    Beyond sound
    To come and go as I please
    Grant me invisibility
    Through my hands
    By my will
    Fill this potion with my intent
    And make this dream reality

    Also I'll note that I got the idea from "Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Magical Herbs"

    "Soak poppy seeds in wine for fifteen days, Then drink the wine each day for five days while fasting. According to tradition you will be able to make yourself invisible at will". I would like to test this at some point.

    Sorry this was such a long post. Thoughts are appreciated. If anyone attempts any of this I'd love to hear your results!

    New job today

    Monday, September 10, 2007, 10:37 AM [General]

    Well I start my new job at Borders today. Really excited, love books! I'm working 3 shifts this week(to my knowledge) for training. Today, Tuesday and Wednesday all 5 - 9pm. It seems that their dress code only consists of black shirts, whatever bottoms you want, closed toed shoes(I think, haven't asked yet). One of the cashiers has facial piercings and tattoos so that's pretty cool. Opened minded for the win. Anyways I got distracted by reading Eclipse when I meant to be sleeping so I'm off to take a nap. Just wanted to post about my excited for the new job. I can now further my personal library with work discounts, huzzah!
